ABOUT MIYA!Hi there! My name is Miya Heulitt, and I’m a New York City based dancer, singer, actor, and giggle girl, originally from Honolulu, Hawaii. As a graduate of the Hartt School with a BFA in Musical Theatre, I am so excited to be pursuing my lifelong dream of living in NYC and dancing for joy.
I truly feel like the best expression of myself while I’m onstage and I am so grateful to be doing what I love most—tap dancing—across the country! I’ve crossed off so many of my bucket list shows (42nd Street, White Christmas, Anything Goes) while also pursuing another passion of mine, traveling, by getting to explore places I’ve always dreamed of visiting (I’m looking at you Zion National Park)!
Most recently I made my national tour debut (A DREAM COME TRUE!!!) in the ensemble of A Christmas Story! The last time I did this show was back in 2015 at my local community and I had the most amazing time on this full circle experience.
My key personality traits include loving sharks, hating cheese, and always choosing kindness first. When I’m in the city you can usually find me on a walk through the park, wearing a fun thrifted sweater, tinsel in my hair, and matcha in hand. Now that I am a trainer at SLT you can always find me on the mic every week playing my favorite songs while holding planks. (Find my schedule on my instagram @miyaheulitt)

Recent News!
Most recently Miya made her National Tour Debut in the ensemble of A Christmas Story! She had so much fun kicking her face every night this past holiday season!
Miya spent the fall of 2024 down in Naples, Florida, opening up the new Baker theatre at the Gulfshore Playhouse! She played Chastity (one of Reno’s angels) in Anything Goes, choreographed by Sara Brians.
In the summer of 2024, Miya was so excited to revisit her favorite show of all time, 42nd Street! She was so excited to do the original Randy Skinner choreography in the ensemble while also understudying Maggie Jones at Theatre by the Sea!
Miya is so excited to announce that she has signed with MSA New York in their theatrical division! She is so excited for this next step in her career with this amazing group of people.
MTWichita! Miya was so lucky to be in the resident ensemble at MTWichita the summer of 2022 and 2023! Her favorite roles while at MTW include; Lorraine in 42nd Street, Silly Girl in Beauty and the Beast, and Tantomile in Cats! (Photo: Kacy Meinecke)
Miya spent her holiday season at Tuacahn Center of the Arts in St. George, Utah in one of her all time favorites; White Christmas. She played Rhoda along with being a part of the amazing ensemble.
